Our Origin Story

The Stafford family ran an award-winning dairy farm and successful milk processing and distribution business just outside Gorey for several years. Farming in Ireland had changed considerably by the time their son, John, took over the helm and it was a case of pivot to thrive. Following in his parents’ entrepreneurial footsteps, John spotted the opportunity after using Self Storage while spending some time in Australia.

Stafford Self Storage remains a family business and is run by John and his brother-in-law David.

Having started with larger commercial units and a small number of ‘self storage’ units, today Stafford Self Storage operates over 150 own door units in a variety of sizes catering for both commercial and domestic customers.

Solid block units with steel roller doors, 24-hour CCTV in a secure location, open 365, and flexible month-on-month contracts are just some of the reasons our customer base keeps growing. Check out our Features page, to see why our business has gone from strength to strength over the years.

The facility is clean, dry, secure, rodent controlled and super simple to use with phone access to gates and electronic invoicing/payment.
